Elder Jeff Murrill hails from Wilmington, North Carolina. He graduated high school from Williston Senior High in 1963 and enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1964. He and Pastor Murrill married in July 1966. Later, He was appointed a Trustee and ordained a Deacon at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church in Sumter, South Carolina.
He retired from the United State Air Force in 1984 after having served 20 years, with two tours in Vietnam, overseas duty in the Philippine Islands, and numerous State-side assignments. His highest military award was the Bronze Star. After his military career, he commenced work with the State of South Carolina with the Department of Health and Environmental Control and the Department of Vocational Rehabilitation, obtaining his Bachelor’s Degree from the University of South Carolina in 1986, and his license as a social worker from the State of South Carolina in 1989.
On the fourth Sunday in September, 1994, Pastor Murrill, along with Deacon Murrill, their five children and six other charter members, opened the doors of Victory Church.
He retired from State employment in 2002, and dedicated his time to entrepreneurial pursuits and the ministry. He serves a Chief Financial Officer of Victory Church and as an Active Deacon. He works hand in hand with Pastor Murrill to lead a ministry that is a healing and training center for breakthrough, restoration, reconciliation and preparation to effectively reach and encourage others for victorious living.
